Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) invites the public to an Open House for an update on environmental cleanup activities at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
An Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Hampton Inn and Suites in DuPont, Washington. JBLM Public Works staff will be available to discuss current and future environmental remediation activities at JBLM for the Logistics Center and other sites. A Newsletter describing current and planned remediation activities will be provided at the event. Advance copies are available at the Pierce County Library, Lakewood Branch, 6300 Wildaire Rd. When there is sufficient sustainable community interest, a RAB will be established to provide community involvement in managing and implementing JBLM IRP cleanup. Members of a RAB volunteer their time to serve on the board which meets in the evening and sometimes on weekends to review and comment on the ongoing cleanup actions.
